Food Insecurity
in York County:
A Community Conversation
August 18, 2026
5:30p - 7:00p
The Lincoln Hotel, Biddeford
Funding cuts, rising inflation, and economic uncertainty are fueling food insecurity in our region and throughout Maine.
Town pantry and meal programs are working hard to meet rising demand but have limited resources.
Solutions will require investment, innovation, and a renewed commitment to building connected local food systems.
Join the Conversation
We invite you to join us for a summer forum focused on the urgency of food insecurity in our county and the resources needed to address it.
This community conversation will feature state and local leaders sharing insights on current needs, the pressures facing families and food access organizations, and opportunities to create a more resilient food security network.
Your Host
The York County Food Hub (YCFH) is a local non-profit preparing to launch and operate the county’s first food security hub. YCFH leaders will be on hand to share plans for their future facility.
This event is made possible with generous support from our sponsor, Kennebunk Savings.
